Make a Difference

Now more than ever kids need help obtaining a quality education. REHM Foundation Inc. supports family well being by making donations of clear backpacks, toys, clothing, electronics, and books for literacy that gives them all an equal chance to excel.

Welcome to our site! Reginald Edward Holloway McKenzie Foundation Inc! REHM Foundation Inc. is a youth community outreach program that funds (when funds are available) preventive health counseling for children 11-18 years of age.  Adolescence is an unsettling time with many physical, environmental and psychological changes.  It is our hope that through our assistance we hope to encourage and uplift the spirit of young people in our local area. We provide donations of toys, and clothing periodically during the year to help local families in need. It is through our efforts and community financial support locally and nationally we intend to uplift families with our community outreach program.

Our Purpose

To aid to teens that are in need of preventive counseling services.  It is our goal to provide teens that are facing addiction, depression or suicidal thoughts with help and hope.  We will provide funding (when available) for quality counseling and preventative education to troubled youth between the ages of 11-18.  We sincerely believe that every child deserves a positive future in the United States and around the world.

Their Lives...

A study on youth financial literacy that studied 4,107 teens nationally revealed that statistically significant changes were found in financial knowledge behavior and self-efficacy, both immediately after studying the curriculum and three months after completing the curriculum. About half the teens had gains in knowledge, a third had gains in behavior, and 40% increased their confidence in managing their money.  Danes, Casas & Boyce (1999).

In both academic and mass media arenas there has been a call for financial education increase the financial literacy of teens.  Personal finance is not taught systematically in high schools.

Our teens must be taught at youngest age when they start to understand the importance of financial literacy. This financial teaching is an ongoing process, from grade school in order to prepare them for the heavy demands of financial burdens of college life. Children tend to learn faster than adults, so the earlier you educate them on finance the better.  During their teen years youth can develop a understanding of national and international markets. This will also broaden their knowledge on Foreign  Exchange markets and how they work. Our kids must understand how these markets affect their daily lives in the United States and abroad which reach down into their local communities in which they live.
